What the role involves
- Ability to analyse and consider all relevant information including wider design team information and project milestones, constraints, and budgets.
- Preparing design calculations utilising both industry standard software and spreadsheets.
- Produce tender documentation to include drawings, specifications, risk assessments and pricing schedules.
- Carry out site surveys and complete feasibility reports and budget costs.
- Represent M+E department at client/design team meetings, answering queries and recording minutes.
- Understand and work in accordance with regulations, standards, and guidance, including Building Regulations, British Standards and CIBSE guidance.
Skills and requirements
- Minimum qualification of HNC in relevant Building Services Engineering subject.
- CIBSE/IET Membership is preferable, with desire and motivation to progress professional accreditation.
- Experience of using industry standard software, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Hevacomp/IES, to produce drawings.
- The ability to demonstrate a highly motivated, pro-active approach to work matters.
