What the role involves

• Delivering mechanical design solutions for rotating and electromechanical systems, with strong emphasis on rotating machinery, including shafts, bearings, seals and associated assembl.
• Maintain CAD models, drawings and BOMs using CATIA V5 and Windchill, ensuring compliance with design for manufacture and assembly principles.
• Leading or support engineering work packages, including design assurance activities, technical documentation, calculations and engineering analysis such as tolerance and stress studie.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver key programme milestones.

Skills and requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Strong and demonstrable experience in mechanical design of rotating machinery is essential.
• Understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working within electromechanical design environments.
