Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer focuses on design smoke control, ventilation and performance louvre systems for a variety of building types.

What the role involves

• Design smoke control, ventilation and performance louvre systems for a variety of building types.
• Provide technical advice to internal teams and external customers by phone and email.
• Ensure designs align with current drawings, specifications, employer’s requirements and scope.
• Managing technical queries via the RFI process.
• Design ductwork systems including fan selection and pressure drop calculations.
• Preparing proposals and undertakeputational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis where required.

Skills and requirements

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical and construction drawings.
• Experience working within the construction industry.
• Strongmunication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions at all levels.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
