Mechanical Engineer II

Mechanical Engineer II focuses on production of detailed 3d models and construction drawings.

What the role involves

• Production of detailed 3D models and construction drawings.
• Supporting commissioning and validation exercises.
• Perform site inspection, testing, and commissioning of equipment and facilities as required, which may include travel within the UK and abroad.
• Maintain expert level skills in required software packages including REVIT, Excel, Word, etc.
• Exercise excellent independent judgement and initiative to complete design tasks.
• Work independently and in a team environment based upon Merrick’s hybrid arrangement comprised of office (future), remote, and Onsite work.

Skills and requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years related experience, preferred eight (8) years related experience.
• Laboratory design and construction knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience in energy modeling and life cycle cost analysis for sustainability design is an asset.
• Candidate shall be proficient in report writing including basis of design reports, specifications, field reports, etc.
