Mechanical Engineering Consultant focuses on delivering building services consultancy across mechanical and m&e systems within operational environments.

What the role involves

• Delivering building services consultancy across mechanical and M&E systems within operational environments.
• Supporting clients in managing FM contractors and maintenance service delivery.
• Oversee project delivery through to completion.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and condition surveys of plant and equipment.
• Leading maintenance contract tendering processes and evaluate contractor performance.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and advisory support to clients.

Skills and requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical building services engineering.
• Strong background in design, specification, and project management.
• Ability to carry out technical audits, surveys, and reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Confirmed role details

• £60,000 - £85,000 (depending on experience and level).
• Regular travel into London (2 to 3 days per week).
• 40 hours per week with flexible working between 07:00 and 18:00.
• Hybrid split between office, site, and remote working.
