Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Outside IR35)
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer focuses on carry out planned preventative maintenance (ppm) and reactive maintenance across site equipment and machinery.
What the role involves
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across site equipment and machinery.
- Repair faults with a mechanical bias, including valves, pipework, and mechanical assemblies.
- Supporting electrical fault finding on control systems, motors, and associated equipment.
- Repair, and rebuild mechanical components including valves and associated systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
- Assisting with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of plant equipment.
Skills and requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical engineering background with hands-on experience working with valves, pumps, and mechanical repairs.
- Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
- IPAF (Powered Access Licence).
