Mechanical Plant Engineer focuses on repair plant equipment and machinery.

What the role involves

  • Repair plant equipment and machinery.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and fault finding.
  • Managing spare parts stock.
  • Supporting design and development of new equipment.
  • Supporting production by ensuring all equipment is fully operational.

Skills and requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar position.
  • Strong mechanical engineering skills.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable).

Confirmed role details

  • Type: Permanent.
  • Monday – Friday 07:00 – 16:00, with potential for overtime.
  • SRG are currently recruiting for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a successful and growing client based in Tamworth.
  • This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining diagnosing and improving pant machinery to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations.
