Mechanical Technician focuses on ensure compliance with statutory requirements including the health & safety at work act and the environmental protection act.

What the role involves

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including the Health & Safety at Work Act and the Environmental Protection Act.
• Manage mechanical maintenance contracts to support station needs.
• Delivering best practice in mechanical maintenance execution.
• Supervise contractors during outages, inspections, and overhauls.
• Diagnose mechanical faults proactively.
• Supporting 24/7 maintenance requirements to ensure station reliability.

Skills and requirements

• Mechanical maintenance experience in power generation and/or heavy industry.
• HNC or equivalent qualification and experience.
• IOSH entry‑level Managing Safely qualification.
• Understanding of budgeting and contract management.
