Mechanical Technician focuses on carry out maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on mechanical equipment and production systems.

What the role involves

• Carry out maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on mechanical equipment and production systems.
• Install, commission, and modify machinery and automation systems.
• Test, and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and automation components.
• Work closely with engineering, automation, and electrical teams to resolve technical issues.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.
• Provide technical support to meet production targets.

Skills and requirements

• Recognised engineering qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and problem‑solving ability.
• Experience with precision tools, alignment, and calibration.
• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical/pneumatic systems.

Confirmed role details

• Mechanical Technician - Derry City - Permanent.
• £30k to £35k (DOE) + attractive benefits package.
• With over 25 years' experience in industrial automation, the company delivers bespoke machine-build, robotics, and automation solutions to customers worldwide.
• 7.45am – 5.45pm, Monday to Thursday (38 hours per week).
