Metocean Engineer/Oceanographer
Metocean Engineer focuses on deploying and servicing equipment such as wave buoys, floating lidar systems, seabed instrumentation, tide gauges, wave radar systems.
What the role involves
- Deploying and servicing equipment such as wave buoys, floating LiDAR systems, Seabed instrumentation, tide gauges, wave radar systems.
- Assisting with mooring assembly and maintenance.
- Working in line with ISO‑accredited management systems and QHSE procedures.
- Working with telemetry, environmental sensors and real-time monitoring systems.
- Producing technical reports and project documentation that meets legislative, regulatory, client and internal quality standards.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality offshore operations and fieldwork planning.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant technical, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, gas, plumbing, or engineering experience may be required.
