MRI Lead Radiographer focuses on to independently assess and justify referrals following practitioner guidelines where appropriate.

What the role involves

• To independently assess and justify referrals following practitioner guidelines where appropriate.
• Ensure that it is performed in accordance with best practice and that the resultant images are diagnostic.
• Able to interpret Clinician's requirements, to determine the appropriate radiographic scan technique.
• To undertake MRI scans in the absence of a radiologist according to agreed protocols.
• To organise the day-to-day workload through the MRI services ensuring efficient use of all available resources.
• To identify problems as they arise affecting patient throughput and taking appropriate measures to resolve them.

Confirmed role details

• Shifts can be assigned Monday to Sunday, 37.5 hours per week.
