What the role involves

• · Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, generators, and related machinery.
• · Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions promptly.
• · Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of mechanical systems.
• · Respond quickly to emergency repair requests, minimizing downtime and disruptions to estate operations.
• · Collaborate with team members, contractors, and external service providers to coordinate repairs, upgrades, and installations.
• · Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory management.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant technical, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, gas, plumbing, or engineering experience may be required.

Confirmed role details

• · Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8-4 or 9-5) with plenty of overtime available.
• · 20 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
• · Company vehicle and fuel card provided (not for home use).
• · Qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (such as ONC Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.

Candidate fit

• · Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts for emergency repairs or special projects.
• · Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various locations within the estate as needed.
