Network Development Engineer focuses on a network development engineer is responsible for engineering, implementation, scalability, operations, reliability, and sustainability of our next-generation networks.
What the role involves
- A Network Development Engineer is responsible for engineering, implementation, scalability, operations, reliability, and sustainability of our next-generation networks.
- Develop automation and mechanisms to reduce manual operations.
- An NDE will utilise their networking skills along with our advanced tools and systems to invent, refine.
- Our Engineers think at “Amazon scale” to solve problems in permanent, sustainable, and scalable ways, with an eye towards utilising the best solution over the quickest solution.
- Analysing the network using tools and metrics to ensure it is operating correctly, safely and securely.
- Assist in fixing complex problems so they don't come back.
Skills and requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or a Master's degree and experience working in a large-scale networking environment.
- Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl).
- Experience developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP networking systems.
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
