Network Upgrade Engineer

Network Upgrade Engineer focuses on working as part of a team to install our core fibre network infrastructure using 96f and 24f cable.

What the role involves

• Working as part of a team to install our core fibre network infrastructure using 96f and 24f cable.
• Splicing fibre cables from 2 to 96f, interpret job packs, surveys and fibre plans and adapt accordingly whilst working with planning.
• Rodding and roping, sub ducting and cable pulling.
• Fibre testing and fault finding, capturing data and presenting feedback.
• Carrying out area surveys and risk assessments.
• Producing method statements.

Skills and requirements

• Experience building the core/spine of a fibre network, with a range of different fibre types.
• Solving networking problems where information is missing or ambiguous.
• Full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months and with no more than 6 points.
• Good level of Maths and English.
