Role Overview
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our agency team, supporting a well-established nursery in the Cardiff area. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping staff provide high-quality care and early learning experiences for young children, contributing to their development and well-being. This role is great for anyone wanting to get some experience or see if a career in early years education is right for them. It’s also perfect for someone looking for a more flexible way of working.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting children’s play, learning, and daily routines to create a stimulating and engaging environment

Helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and organised setting that promotes learning and development

Assisting staff with supervision, meal and snack times, and hygiene routines to ensure children’s health and safety

Setting up and tidying away activities and resources throughout the day

Engaging positively with children to encourage confidence, independence, and curiosity

Required Skills & Experience

A genuine interest in supporting children’s development and a passion for early years education

Ability to work well within a team and follow guidance, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
