    Nursery Practitioner, Newport, £15 per hour

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join our agency team, supporting a reputable nursery in the Newport area. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early years education and confident working within a busy, supportive nursery environment, utilising their knowledge of childcare practices and early years curriculum planning to deliver high-quality care and education.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, including planning and implementing engaging activities to promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that fosters a sense of wonder and curiosity, while ensuring the health and safety of all children
  • Assisting with daily routines and activities, such as mealtimes, outdoor play, and rest periods, to maintain a smooth and efficient nursery operation
  • Communicating effectively with staff, children, and parents to build strong relationships and ensure seamless collaboration, using effective communication strategies and conflict resolution techniques
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and child welfare, adhering to nursery policies and procedures, and reporting any concerns or incidents in a timely and professional manner
  • Required Skills & Experience

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification, such as a Diploma in Childcare and Education or a Certificate in Early Years Practice
  • Minimum 6 months UK-based early years experience, working in a nursery or similar setting, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its application in practice
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, including its principles, themes, and commitments, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting
