What the role involves
- Conduct exposure monitoring for welding fumes, noise, chemicals and vibration to assess workplace risks.
- Ensure you support health risk assessments throughout ship build, integration and commissioning activities.
- Provide practical, inclusive control recommendations aligned with naval standards and shipyard operations.
- Ensure you collaborate with stakeholders to ensure occupational hygiene considerations inform decisions.
- Report occupational hygiene data to enable safe, evidence-based actions.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant technical, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, gas, plumbing, or engineering experience may be required.
Confirmed role details
- Up to £51,000 per annum dependent upon experience.
- Will be based in Glasgow and requires the successful candidate to be Onsite in either Govan or Scotstoun 4.5 days per week (early finish at lunchtime on Fridays).
- This will be working a 37 hour week with a 1pm finish on Fridays.
