Occupational Therapist focuses on review the impact/effectiveness of interventions.
What the role involves
- Review the impact/effectiveness of interventions.
- Promote independence to reduce reliance on formal care.
- Supporting hospital discharge pathways and help keep people safely at home.
- Build strong working relationships with NHS colleagues, social workers, voluntary sector partners, GPs, and other agencies.
- Monitoring progress of adaptation works and equipment provision, including timely reviews.
- Supervise and mentor junior OTs, OTAs and students where required.
Skills and requirements
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
- Strong experience in adult social care, major/minor adaptations, and manual handling.
- Ability to prioritise a varied caseload while delivering high standards of care.
- Free DBS and compliance service.
