Occupational Therapist focuses on review the impact/effectiveness of interventions.

What the role involves

  • Review the impact/effectiveness of interventions.
  • Promote independence to reduce reliance on formal care.
  • Supporting hospital discharge pathways and help keep people safely at home.
  • Build strong working relationships with NHS colleagues, social workers, voluntary sector partners, GPs, and other agencies.
  • Monitoring progress of adaptation works and equipment provision, including timely reviews.
  • Supervise and mentor junior OTs, OTAs and students where required.

Skills and requirements

  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Strong experience in adult social care, major/minor adaptations, and manual handling.
  • Ability to prioritise a varied caseload while delivering high standards of care.
  • Free DBS and compliance service.
