What the role involves
- Develop treatment recommendations and therapy goals, ensuring regular review and evaluation of progress.
- Provide Occupational Therapy intervention and guidance during therapy sessions.
- Maintaining high-quality clinical notes and electronic records in accordance with RCOT and HCPC standards.
- Liaise with and train parents and carers regarding treatment programmes that can be implemented at home.
- Liaise with and train professionals involved in the young person's care, including schools.
- Care Plan (EHCP) applications and tribunal processes.
Skills and requirements
- BSc Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Minimum 2–4 years' paediatric experience working with neurodiverse children and young people aged 2–25 years across specialist or mainstream educational settings.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- The organisation works collaboratively with a range of allied health professionals to provide holistic support.
