Operational Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical)

Operational Engineer focuses on build test rigs and prototype systems to support early-stage product and technology development.

What the role involves

• Build test rigs and prototype systems to support early-stage product and technology development.
• Ensure all builds are safe, compliant and fit for purpose , mitigating risks associated with development activities.
• Supporting rapid iteration cycles, working closely with engineers and technicians to refine solutions.
• Carry out design risk assessments and hazard analysis to ensure safe testing environments.
• Produce clear technical documentation to support development and knowledge sharing.
• Promote and uphold a strong safety culture , ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant technical, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, gas, plumbing, or engineering experience may be required.

• Rate: £45–£50 per hour (Umbrella).
• Test function , you will play a key role in transforming early concepts into working prototypes, supporting the development of new technologies through safe, compliant and robust t.
