Job description
This Operations Manager opportunity is built around leading, manage, coach, and develop shift manufacturing teams - including team leaders and support services - to deliver continuous improvement and operational excellence. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.
Where ownership sits
You will be responsible for leading the management and manufacturing operations of the company's new site. Support and supervise factory teams in the absence of the relevant Team Leader.
What the role carries
Leading, manage, coach, and develop shift manufacturing teams - including team leaders and support services - to deliver continuous improvement and operational excellence. Produce detailed daily shift reports that provide accurate, high-quality information on performance metrics and trends. Feedback to planning to improve on schedules and effective management of all controllable costs in the factory area.
Practical details
- Encourage & facilitate the ongoing learning and personal development of team members.
- Ensure all team members understand and uphold their shared responsibility for maintaining agreed factory hygiene standards.
- Related challenges and updates clearly to relevant department heads.
- Monitor and control waste and rejected production, identifying and reporting root causes to the Production Manager where possible.
