What the role involves

• In this role, you will be a core member of the management team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the businesses UK HQ.
• Production, Materials, Planning, Facilities, Continuous Improvement & Logistics.
• Setting the vision and objectives for the Operations function whilst motivating, mentoring and coaching colleagues to develop into a high performing team.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to all operational processes to continually drive improvement, reduce waste and increase performance against set objectives.
• Strive toward best practice in the manufacturing environment by coaching managers and teams in areas such as 5S, safety principles.
• Process optimisation and a customer first mindset.

Skills and requirements

• Proven experience within an operations management environment from the engineering or manufacturing sectors.
• A highly organised individual that can lead by example and has demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills and enacted real business change in previous roles.
• Level headed in fast moving situations with the ability to deal with multiple complex issues from a workshop environment.
• Previous knowledge of heavy assembly and painting processes advantageous.
