Outdoor Education Specialist focuses on delivering engaging outdoor learning activities and practical sessions.

What the role involves

  • Delivering engaging outdoor learning activities and practical sessions.
  • Promote confidence, resilience and teamwork through outdoor education.
  • Supporting students' social, emotional and personal development.
  • Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants and the wider school team.

Skills and requirements

  • Experience delivering outdoor education, forest school, Duke of Edinburgh, adventure learning or similar programmes.
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within education or SEND.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Relevant outdoor education or coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.
