Teaching Assistant focuses on helping with pupils learning and development.

What the role involves

  • Helping with pupils learning and development.
  • Supervising pupils in the playground, dining hall, cloakrooms and in class.
  • Keeping records of each pupil’s progress against EHCP targets.
  • Assisting with their health and hygiene.
  • Helping students develop life skills and mentoring them to have a positive outlook.
  • Be able to adapt resources to meet children’s individual needs.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.
