As a Teaching Assistant, the work centres on supporting lesson-by-lesson logistics operations while learning systems, routines, and working standards. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.
Who the work supports
Connex Education is working with a primary school in Upton seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support across Key Stage 2 classes (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6). Will primarily involve supporting pupils in maths, so a solid working knowledge of the Key Stage 2 maths curriculum is essential.
How support shows up
Supporting lesson-by-lesson logistics operations while learning systems, routines, and working standards. Builds positive, supportive relationships with pupils and staff to support teaching & learning.
What needs to be in place
- A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
- We adhere to Safer Recruitment practices in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023, and other relevant legislation.
Job details
- Wellbeing programme and refresher training for life in a 21st-century classroom.
- Part-time, Thursday–Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm).
- £180-200 per week (depending on experience and qualifications).
