Pavement Design Engineer
Pavement Design Engineer focuses on design suppliers, to cover scope, budget and programme, and to obtain agreement from asset lead.
What the role involves
- Design suppliers, to cover scope, budget and programme, and to obtain agreement from Asset lead.
- Develop and agree briefs with the design team.
- Preparing designs, reports, specifications and other deliverables to budget and programme.
- Design coordination and management inline with the asset need and investment fund.
- Undertake optioneering and feasibility of design solutions and preparation of whole life costing.
- Review of contract documentation.
Skills and requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of highway related design areas, including design codes (DMRB/MCDHW/TSRGD etc.) relevant to highway engineering.
- College/University vocational qualification. (MEng/MSC/BEng/BSc/HNC and HND).
- Knowledge of the use of relevant computer design applications.
- Knowledge of the Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 8.
