Payroll Officer
Job description
This Payroll Officer role is focused on supporting payroll sign-off, including reporting, BACS submissions, and third-party payments. It would suit someone who can bring confident communicator, able to build relationships across the business to the role.
Where the work sits
Managing end-to-end payroll processing across a 4-weekly cycle. Maintaining accurate payroll records, documentation, and audit trails.
How the role works day to day
Supporting payroll sign-off, including reporting, BACS submissions, and third-party payments. Supporting cycle-by-cycle logistics operations while learning systems, routines, and working standards.

Practical details
- Processing starters, leavers, overtime, salary changes, and statutory payments (SMP, SSP, etc.).
- Additional detail: Overtime.
What needs to be in place
- Solid payroll experience (ideally 3+ years in a busy environment).

- This is a busy, hands-on position where no two days look the same.
