Payroll Support Assistant focuses on supporting the weekly and monthly payroll cycles, including overtime, absence, sickness, and holiday data.
What the role involves
- Supporting the weekly and monthly payroll cycles, including overtime, absence, sickness, and holiday data.
- Preparing, maintaining, and reconciling payroll and HR data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assisting with payroll checks, audits, and post-payroll queries, escalating where required.
- Maintaining employee records across HRIS and Time & Attendance systems.
- Using Excel extensively to manage trackers, reconciliations, pivot tables, and dashboards.
- Managing general department administration and filing.
Skills and requirements
- Strong administrative experience (HR, payroll support, data or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data validation).
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Confident communicator with a collaborative approach.
