What the role involves

• Manage the end‑to‑end handling of FOI/EIR requests, ensuring responses are issued within statutory timescales.
• Throughout the process, you will ensure responses are accurate, consistent and aligned with guidance from the Scottish Information Commissioner (SIC).
• Provide practical advice and guidance to colleagues on FOI/EIR requirements, supporting informed, consistent and compliant decision‑making, including identifying and managing risks.
• Ensure requests are effectively logged, allocated and progressed, supporting reporting and continuous improvement of processes and compliance outcomes.
• A good understanding of Microsoft Office applications is essential, supporting effective case management.
