What the role involves
- Provide specialist clinical pharmacy support to oncology and haematology services, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT) and oncology m.
- Clinical screening and validation of oncology prescriptions.
- Providing specialist clinical advice to consultants, nurses, and wider MDTs.
- Reviewing and optimising oncology treatment regimens.
- Supporting aseptic services and oncology governance processes.
- Ensuring compliance with national cancer treatment protocols and safety standards.
Skills and requirements
- This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with oncology experience to work within a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting cancer treatment services.
- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Previous NHS oncology pharmacy experience essential.
- Experience working with chemotherapy/SACT services.
