What the role involves

  • Provide specialist clinical pharmacy support to oncology and haematology services, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT) and oncology m.
  • Clinical screening and validation of oncology prescriptions.
  • Providing specialist clinical advice to consultants, nurses, and wider MDTs.
  • Reviewing and optimising oncology treatment regimens.
  • Supporting aseptic services and oncology governance processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with national cancer treatment protocols and safety standards.

Skills and requirements

  • This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with oncology experience to work within a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting cancer treatment services.
  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Previous NHS oncology pharmacy experience essential.
  • Experience working with chemotherapy/SACT services.
