Pig Farm Manager
Pig Farm Manager focuses on overseeing the day-to-day running of the pig unit.
What the role involves
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the pig unit.
- Maintaining high standards of animal welfare and stock management.
- Monitoring performance, health, and growth of livestock.
- Managing breeding, farrowing, and general production routines.
- Leading and organise the farm team, including rotas and workload.
- Support staff to maintain good standards across the unit.
Skills and requirements
- Experience in breeding/farrowing, AI, or livestock systems would be an advantage.
- All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for.
- Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
