What the role involves

  • Develop fully logic‑linked design, procurement and construction tender programmes.
  • Create or lead the production of logistics and phasing plans.
  • Develop target and master programmes for small to medium projects, fully logic‑linked to the baseline.
  • Ensure programmes reflect agreed construction methods in collaboration with operations support teams.

Skills and requirements

  • CSCS Construction Planner certification.
  • Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 or Asta PowerProject (essential).
  • Robust experience in programme management, project controls, cost/risk analysis and programme review.
  • Ideally, experience in commercial or education sector projects (refurbishment or new build).

Confirmed role details

  • Produce or support the production of tender logistics plans, method statements and temporary works (including scaffold) schedules.
  • Assist project managers with Onsite planning, reporting and programme controls.
  • Proof of eligibility is required during the recruitment process.

Candidate fit

  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Clear communicator able to explain planning concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Organised, self‑motivated and able to work independently or as part of a site‑based team.

  • Support the Construction Manager throughout delivery — helping teams make confident, data‑driven decisions that keep projects on track.
