Platform Engineer focuses on maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable platform solutions. including monitoring, managing and optimising cloud-based (aws) resources.

What the role involves

• Maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable platform solutions. Including monitoring, managing and optimising cloud-based (AWS) resources.
• Document all procedures and policies for maintaining and improving system infrastructure.
• Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines) for efficient and secure deployment and operations. Whilst also working with development teams to facilitate the deploym.

Skills and requirements

• Experience as a Senior Platform Engineer including a solid understanding of software engineering principles and their application.
• Experience of Scripting and pipeline automation (e.g. Jenkins and GitHub Actions).
• Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS) and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience of working closely with development and infrastructure teams to quickly understand requirements and implement solutions.
