Delivery Driver focuses on sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.

What the role involves

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Delivering post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles.
• We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van.
• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant licence, warehouse, driving, stock, or operations experience may be required.

Confirmed role details

• Derwentside Delivery Office, DH8 7RU.
• Job type: Permanent contract.
• £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
• 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 08:30 - 15:30/14:00 - 20:00 and Sundays 12:20 - 18:30.
