Power Analyst focuses on proactively monitor market fundamentals, policy changes, and news flows, converting insights into assumptions or scenario for trading and risk management.

What the role involves

  • Proactively monitor market fundamentals, policy changes, and news flows, converting insights into assumptions or scenario for trading and risk management.
  • Maintaining the in-house pan-European Stack and statistical models for Italy and Iberia.
  • Working closely with Power Analytics team.
  • Driving initiatives to improve model accuracy (e.g., back-testing, error analysis) and extend modelling framework.
  • Identify actionable trade ideas.
  • Contribute to weekly analyst meetings, participate in cross-functional meetings (e.g. with Transmission and Regulation).

Skills and requirements

  • Experience in the Italian power market in a trading environment beneficial. Ideally some Spanish experience.
