This Practitioner Psychologist opportunity is built around cAMHS provides support for children and young people (up to the age of 18 years) who have a mental health concern that: has not resolved with input from emotional health and well-b. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.

Role overview

This post is fixed term/secondment for 10 months due to maternity cover. We also link with other child psychologists in the LAs and 3rd sector.

Main responsibilities

CAMHS provides support for children and young people (up to the age of 18 years) who have a mental health concern that: has not resolved with input from emotional health and well-b. Delivering psychological interventions as appropriate. The team works across the early intervention and complex multi-disciplinary parts of CAMHS and there will be opportunities to develop particular interests within the role.

Requirements

  • We would be happy to accept applicants who are currently working in a band 7 post and looking for experience as a band 8a.
  • Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development as recommended by the BPS and HCPC.
