Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting pupils’ learning in the classroom, individually and in small groups.

What the role involves

  • Supporting pupils’ learning in the classroom, individually and in small groups.
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs (including SEND, where applicable).
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion.
  • Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and personal development.
  • Assisting with playground supervision and school activities when required.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Confirmed role details

  • £14.24 p/h - increased if experienced or qualified.
  • Full-time & Part-time available.

Candidate fit

  • Experience working with primary-aged children (desirable but not essential).

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification – desirable).
