What the role involves
- Provide personalised tutoring sessions for primary school students with SEN, adapting content and teaching style to meet individual needs.
- Supporting students in developing core skills in subjects like Maths, English, and general study habits.
- Create a nurturing, supportive, and safe learning environment where students feel confident and motivated.
- Track students’ progress and offer regular feedback to parents/carers.
- Develop individual learning plans, with a focus on therapeutic approaches when needed, to support various SEN needs (Autism, ADHD, SEMH).
Skills and requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience tutoring or teaching primary-aged children, particularly those with SEN.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Primary Education.
- Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH.
Confirmed role details
- M22 (Community-based or in-home sessions).
- GBP25 per hour (starting rate).
- Job Type: Part-Time.
