Primary Teacher focuses on we have a high staff to learner ratio and classes are small and personal – we know each of our learners really well and employ the best strategies to support them in their everyday.

What the role involves

• Work closely with a team of teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to ensure that each student receives the best possible support and guidance.
• Develop your skills in this area.

Skills and requirements

• A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
• Experience of teaching in a primary setting, preferably with students with ASCs or other special educational needs.

• As a Primary Teacher at Gretton School, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and personalised lessons that meet the needs and interests of your students.
• A good understanding of the principles and practices of autism education, or a willingness to learn.
• A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles and abilities.
