Primary Teaching Assistant

This Teaching Assistant role is focused on supporting teaching and learning in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher. It would suit someone who can bring holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) to the role.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range. Play a vital role in helping to create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment where every child can thrive.

Main responsibilities

Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher. Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning. Assisting in the preparation of classroom resources and activities.

Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above). Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Requirements

• Has experience working with primary-aged children (in a school or similar setting).
