What the role involves

  • Provide high-quality support to the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to support pupils’ learning.
  • Adapt resources and activities to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs.
  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
  • Assisting with the preparation of classroom materials and learning environments.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff.

Skills and requirements

  • Previous experience working within a UK primary school setting.
  • Experience supporting children with a range of abilities and needs (including SEND is desirable).
  • A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
