Job description
This Teaching Assistant opportunity is built around implement strategies to support SEMH needs, including de-escalation and emotional reassurance. It would suit someone who can bring supporting learners through a calm, structured classroom routine to the role.
Where the work sits
Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning. Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil throughout the school day.
How the role works day to day
Implement strategies to support SEMH needs, including de-escalation and emotional reassurance. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow tailored support plans.

Supporting learners through a calm, structured classroom routine. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

What needs to be in place
- Have experience working with children with SEN and/or SEMH needs (school-based experience preferred).
- Relevant SEN, teaching, or learner-support experience.
