Principal Civil Engineer focuses on leading the delivery of nuclear design work on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the uk and overseas.

What the role involves

• Leading the delivery of Nuclear design work on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas.
• Provide technical assurance of detailed civil engineering designs.
• Provide strategic technical leadership across integrated multi-disciplinary teams delivering high-profile projects.
• Supporting client engagement, bid preparation, and the development of technical proposals.
• Overseeing project delivery to ensure programme, quality, safety, and client expectations are achieved.
• Provide technical direction to Technicians, Graduates, and developing Engineers to support their professional and technical development.

Skills and requirements

• Ability to provide strategic guidance based on knowledge and experience of projects across a portfolio to inform and direct projects and programmes.
• Ability to provide leadership in a key area within an engineering function and act as a custodian of resource and expertise.
• Ideally have experience of working within the Nuclear Sector, new build and decommissioning projects, in roles reliant upon professional engineering expertise and judgement.
• Engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery, including positions influencing professional engineers in the definition, implementation and delivery of civil.
