Principal Engineer focuses on working within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in our catania (italy), sophia antipolis (france), edinburgh (scotland), and newbury (england) sites.

What the role involves

  • Working within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in our Catania (Italy), Sophia Antipolis (France), Edinburgh (Scotland), and Newbury (England) sites.
  • IC block design, transistor-level circuit design and simulation.
  • Using recommended design and verification techniques, tools & flows to produce efficient designs which meet all specified functional, power and timing objectives.
  • Successful integration of blocks into larger mixed-signal systems.
  • Test to ensure successful delivery meeting all requirements.
  • Continuing to improve analog design methodologies consistent with the group’s wider business objectives to reduce time and cost to market.

Skills and requirements

  • Electronic Engineering degree with 10+ years’ experience as an analog/mixed signal IC designer.
  • Design experience with circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, etc., is an advantage.
  • Strong people leadership, inter-personal, teamwork and communication skills are required to work well within a multi-site cross functional team.
  • Experience integrating power‑management and analog blocks into complex SoCs or microcontroller systems is a strong advantage.
