This Principal Infrastructure Engineer role in Civil Engineering is focused on negotiate technical approvals for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278 agreements). It would suit someone who can bring strong professional approach to the role.

Be responsible for managing multiple schemes simultaneously, providing strategic technical direction, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and approving authorities. Join a large, multi-disciplinary consultant out of their Wigan office, working on and managing a range of sectors/projects.

Where the technical work sits

  • Negotiate technical approvals for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278 agreements).
  • Managing, lead, and deliver infrastructure designs for multiple projects on time and within budget.
  • Overseeing highway and drainage strategies, ensuring high-quality outputs.

Technical requirements

  • 5–10+ years’ experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment.
  • Degree or HNC qualified in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Ideally, you’ll have experience with software packages such as AutoCAD, PDS, Civil3D, Micro.
