As a Principal Practitioner Psychologist, the work centres on as such they will be expected to provide a combination of direct and indirect work. It would suit someone who can bring ownership, clear communication, and practical organisation to the role.

Who the work supports

Principal Practitioner Psychologist - Secondment Opportunity (12-18 months). ‘THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12-18 MONTHS DUE TO BEING SECONDMENT COVER.

Care and support involved

As such they will be expected to provide a combination of direct and indirect work. They will be expected to provide teaching, training, consultation and supervision to colleagues as and when required. Lead on Team and Network formulation, Risk Assessment and Management for individuals with complex and specialist needs.

Care skills and requirements

  • Eligibility for British Psychological Society Chartered status.
  • Evidence Evidence of Continuing Professional Development as recommended by the BPS and HCPC.
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
