Principal Structures Engineer

Principal Structures Engineer focuses on as a principal structures engineer, you will provide technical expertise in managing national highways infrastructure.

What the role involves

• As a Principal Structures Engineer, you will provide technical expertise in managing National Highways infrastructure.
• Provide specialist knowledge to Engineers involved in the identification and evaluation of asset specific needs and early solutions.
• Ensure asset management decisions adhere to policies.
• Provide value for money, and maximise contribution to the delivery of business objectives.
• Identify and commission survey works to support the improvement and/or renewal of assets.
• Analyse asset data, to champion asset data quality, integrity and adherence to data standards and guidelines.

Skills and requirements

• Drive as part of your role and you will need to have a full driving licence, with no more than 3 points, to be considered for this position.
• A Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with extensive experience, or equivalent.
• Degree in relevant discipline, Higher National Diploma, or Higher National Certificate with relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in highways infrastructure design, highway construction and delivery methods.

• This role can be based from either our Bristol or Exeter office on a hybrid basis.
