Process Operator
Process Operator focuses on monitor ad and etp equipment (pumps, blowers, digesters, aeration systems, clarifiers, centrifuges, etc.).
What the role involves
- Monitor AD and ETP equipment (pumps, blowers, digesters, aeration systems, clarifiers, centrifuges, etc.).
- Record operational data (flow rates, pH, COD, BOD, MLSS, biogas generation, sludge levels, etc.) at defined intervals.
- Ensure continuous treatment of wastewater and biogas recovery in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
- Report abnormalities, and take corrective actions where possible.
- Carry out regular sampling and basic analysis (pH, TSS, COD, BOD, VFA, alkalinity balance, etc.).
- Adjust operational parameters to maintain optimal treatment efficiency and compliance with discharge consents.
Skills and requirements
- Education: Minimum GCSE (Pass) in Maths, English, and Science, Further education desired but not essential.
- Experience: 1-3 years in operating AD, ETP, or similar utilities (preferred).
- Ability to operate SCADA/DCS systems (if applicable).
