Process Quality Engineer focuses on develop a small team of quality engineers and technicians while remaining hands-on in operational quality activities.
What the role involves
- Develop a small team of Quality Engineers and Technicians while remaining hands-on in operational quality activities.
- Supporting deployment of the site quality strategy, focusing on prevention, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
- Driving process quality improvements, including leading and delivering structured quality improvement projects (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, CI initiatives).
- Conduct regular process audits to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design, Sales, and R&D to ensure quality is embedded across all stages of the product lifecycle.
- Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure robust, on-time, and defect-free product launches.
Skills and requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in process quality and shop-floor problem solving (rather than purely quality systems).
- Skilled in structured problem-solving tools (8D, RCA, Six Sigma methodologies).
- ISO 9001 knowledge/audit experience desirable.
