Production and Continuous Improvement Engineer

Production and Continuous Improvement Engineer focuses on conduct accurate value stream mapping alongside time studies to support accurate labour and capacity planning, with true process costings to ensure accurate product costing.

What the role involves

• Conduct accurate Value Stream Mapping alongside time studies to support accurate labour and capacity planning, with true process costings to ensure accurate product costing.
• Maintain the accuracy of bills of materials and part locations.
• Develop the production process documentation/instructions used across the value stream.
• Develop and document all parts of the production process, through Standard Operating Procedures, Works Instructions and How to Guides.
• Conduct audits on production process operator to assess for adherence to company standards and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain the practices necessary to achieve excellent housekeeping standards through 5S and Visual Factory.

Skills and requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 5 years' experience.
• Experience with Manual and Automated welding.
• Experience with Introducing and Sustaining Logistics based processes.
• Experience with CAD packages, preferably AutoCAD and Creo.

Confirmed role details

• This success is comprehensively supported by a team of over 400 full-time members of staff across our three UK centres of excellence.
• Working hours for the role are 40 per week (07:30 - 16:30, Monday - Thursday, and 07:30 - 13:30 on Friday).
• Annual bonus (for indication only) based on recent average £500 per annum.
• 25 days holiday (increases with service, up to 30 days), plus bank holidays.
